Heritage Reman Four Speed Gearbox for Triumph Spitfire 1962 to 1980

A reconditioned exchange unit built in our transmission shop. Every gearbox is stripped completely, every gear and shaft is inspected for pitting and wear, and anything below tolerance is replaced rather than reused.

• Specification: four speed, single rail selector
• Fitment: Triumph Spitfire 1962 to 1980
• New bearings, seals and gaskets throughout
• Layshaft and needle rollers renewed as standard, which is where most of the noise comes from
• Synchromesh rings replaced on every gear
• Casing cleaned, checked for cracks and repainted
• Bench tested through every gear before it leaves us
• Twelve month warranty
• Supplied drained. Fill with the correct grade on fitting, and note that many of these units take engine oil rather than gear oil

Exchange pricing assumes your old unit comes back within 30 days and is rebuildable. Please drain it, blank the openings and return it on the stillage we send. A broken casing will reduce the surcharge refund and we will call you before adjusting anything.
