Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of this website and any order you place through it. Please read them before ordering. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. Who we are
Heritage Motor Spares is a trading name of AT AUTO & SPARES LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17176482.
Registered office: Unit 1 Main Road, Tydd Gote, Wisbech, PE13 5QD, United Kingdom.
Email: info@atautoparts.co.uk
2. Prices and VAT
All prices are shown in pounds sterling and are the price you pay. No VAT is charged on orders placed through this site and VAT invoices cannot be issued. Delivery charges are shown before you confirm your order.
If a pricing error is obvious and unmistakable, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than fulfil it. We will always contact you first.
3. How a contract is formed
Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send you a dispatch confirmation, not when you receive the order acknowledgement. If we cannot fulfil an order we will tell you and refund you in full.
4. Fitment and vehicle identification
Every part is catalogued by model and year, and we check fitment carefully. However, these are old vehicles. Many were modified in period, many carry parts from other models, and factory change points do not always match the recorded build date. You remain responsible for confirming that a part suits your particular car.
If you are in any doubt, send us the chassis, commission or engine number before ordering and we will check it against the factory records. We would far rather answer a question than process a return.
5. Reconditioned and exchange units
Reconditioned units are rebuilt from used cores. They are sold as serviceable units built to the original tolerances, not as new old stock, and minor cosmetic marks on castings are normal. Surcharge and core return terms are set out on the Returns and Refunds page.
6. Restoration parts and fitting
Body panels, chassis sections and structural parts are supplied for fitting by a competent person. Welding, alignment and corrosion protection are your responsibility or your bodyshop's. Brake, steering and suspension components are safety critical and must be fitted and tested by someone competent to do so.
7. Availability
Stock figures reflect what we hold. Occasionally an item sells through several channels at once. If that happens we will contact you with an expected date and you may cancel for a full refund.
8. Warranty
Each product page states its warranty. Reconditioned engines, gearboxes, overdrives and axles carry twelve months. Warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship in normal use. They do not cover incorrect fitting, running without oil or coolant, overheating, competition use, accidental damage, or ordinary wear.
9. Liability
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for unforeseeable loss, nor for business losses where you buy for business purposes.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Returns
Our returns terms are set out on the Returns and Refunds page and form part of these terms.
11. Your data
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
12. Trade customers
Where you buy in the course of a business, the consumer regulations referenced on this site do not apply. Trade terms, account terms and any restocking charges are agreed in writing at the point of sale.
13. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including carrier failure, supply shortages and extreme weather. We will contact you and you may cancel for a full refund if the delay is substantial.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
15. Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the version published when you placed it.
